Finding the best gym that works for YOU in support of your fitness program can sometimes be difficult and cumbersome. You want to have great workouts, feel welcome and comfortable, experience good energy and maybe connect with others who share similar fitness goals to serve as support and/or inspiration.
The International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) reports that the average retention rate for its member clubs is 71.4%. Thus, about 30% of gym members churn out each year, meaning an entire gym membership base turns over about every 3 years. So, how do you find a gym among the over 32,000 health clubs in the US that you like and that works for your fitness goals such that you will continue to use it?
There are a number of things to consider in finding a new fitness home, and in today’s show we are going to talk about the major areas to investigate when looking for the best gym - everything from location to equipment to amenities.
